Up Close with Bryant Sullivan; Continuing The “Janitronics Way”

Boston — Bryant Sullivan is Vice President of Business Development for the locally-owned, family-run legacy building management services company Janitronics. We sat down with the sales executive to discuss his background, his new position at Janitronics, and his goals for growth.  

Can you tell us a little about your background, personal and professional? 

Professionally, I have over 20 years of sales leadership experience across diverse industries and markets, including regional, national, and global scopes. My background includes a director-level position at a Fortune 500 company. There, I had full P&L responsibility for a specialized business division earning over $400M in annual revenue. During my 10+ years in this role, I combined technology with business strategies to expand the company into new sales verticals and geographic markets.   

Personally, I am a proud father/stepfather of three teenage boys, and my loving fiancée, Ashley, and I recently welcomed a newborn daughter into our family. I have been highly active in the youth sports community for over 12 years, coaching and leading football and lacrosse organizations throughout Central Massachusetts. I am enthusiastic about helping to ensure that all youth players have access to the sports they love.  

How does Janitronics compare/contrast with your pastpositions? 

Janitronics’ core values of delivering high-quality service and fostering a positive workplace culture are why I joined the organization. It is less common today to find companies with so many long-tenured employees as there are here. To me, this speaks to the type of culture Janitronics has built. You can truly see and feel the difference in how the entire team works together to meet our clients’ needs.  

What excites you about the opportunity to build existing and future relationships in your new position? 

From a business development standpoint, Janitronics focuses on providing first-class service to every client. This commitment is the foundation that has built so many long-standing client partnerships and will be the platform for continued growth.  

I am excited to continue building our partnerships within existing business verticals and to expand into new market segments such as higher education, health care, and manufacturing.  

What have you noticed about the company culture since joining? 

During the interview process, it was clear that there was something different and special about Janitronics from a cultural standpoint. This turned out to be even more true than I could have expected. Since joining, I have been able to see firsthand the recognition and appreciation that is at the forefront of the way the company treats its employees.  

Spending time in the field, I have heard similar sentiments from employees at various levels about how they love to work here and how much they care about the services we provide each day and night for our clients. 

Given its family-owned legacy and longevity, how do you think Janitronics Building Services differentiates itself from others? 

I believe our nearly 50-year history as an independent, locally owned and operated business is a major part of the company’s success. The company built its strong culture on this history, and it fosters our drive to support our clients’ needs throughout our organization.  Our differentiator is the passion and quality of service the team provides to every client, which is not easily replicated.  

You mentioned you will be involved in partnerships and networking with Associations. Is there a particular goal within that work that you are looking to achieve? 

Janitronics has a long history of community involvement, sponsorship, and charitable giving. As part of my role, I will help manage that process and continue that tradition. There are so many amazing organizations in the Greater Boston area that we partner with to support the needs of the community. My goal is to help build a strategy for providing community aid that best aligns with our core mission and vision. 

We also partner with many great organizations to provide training and certifications for our team.   I am excited to connect further with the building services industry to continue my growth and build strong partnerships for Janitronics.   

If you could transport forward to one year from now, what do you envision for yourself and your goals? 

My goal for this first year is to learn the Janitronics Way” and understand what it means to deliver the highest quality of service in every aspect of my role. Beyond that, my focus is on building strong relationships with our client service, operations, and all other departments. This is the foundation on which all future success will be built. It is critical to use this time to root our growth in the history and commitment that have made Janitronics what it is today.
