Michael Gesamondo Promoted to Account Director of Operations
In just a few short years with Janitronics, Mike Gesamondo has progressed from Assistant Account Manager to Account Manager and now Account Director. A life sciences industry veteran, Mike’s promotion includes managing a new biotech account for Janitronics, where he will build systems from the ground up with a new team.
From the beginning of his Janitronics career, Mike focused on building relationships with tenants and clients and has adopted a “never say no” approach to client requests. He has also worked to improve operations and modernize systems, including implementing a computer based system to replace paper-based ordering.
Even though his new client site is smaller in size than his previous downtown Boston Class A site, the principles of setting standards and addressing customer needs remain the same. He will apply his learnings from previous roles to implement new efficiencies and meet specific customer expectations.
Mike is especially looking forward to taking on a leadership position at the new site and training a new team. He is proud to set high standards for his employees, covering everything from dress code and attendance to client expectations.
The move is an excellent fit for Mike, whose most recent job before Janitronics was as a biotech facilities manager. In that role, he handled scientific repairs and maintained the building, particularly during experiment shutdowns.
Instilled with high standards of cleanliness and maintenance from a young age by his father, Mike has been an exemplary member of the Janitronics team. Upon joining, he was impressed with the structured environment, collaborative approach, and adaptability, especially during emergencies. He has enjoyed career growth and the supportive culture that comes along with it.
From regular team events and integration among management staff, Mike quickly became part of the Janitronics team, which now feels like family to him.
